On a flight from Boston to San Francisco one dad inspired his fellow passengers with his touching Halloween gift to his young daughter. The man, who chose to remain unidentified felt guilty that his little girl would miss the traditional trick or treating due to their cross country flight.
So he did something extraordinary, he passed out candy and a letter to all the passengers on the flight explaining that they could make a little girls day. All they’d have to do is pass out candy when she made her way down the aisle of the plane.
One passenger, Stephanie Kahan, was so touched by this stellar dad she decided to share it with the world via Twitter, “OMG, my heart is exploding right now. Dad of the year just passed out candy to everyone on the flight so his 3 year old could trick or treat.”
3 year old Molly dressed up as a donut and happily made her way down the aisle to collect all her goodies.”The few rows around me were really into it and thought it was absolutely adorable.” And I mean could you blame them? This dad risked embarrassment just to make sure his daughter could still celebrate a holiday she loves.
It wasn’t long before Kahan’s original Tweet garnered 78,000 re-tweets and 140,000 likes from others around the globe who fell in love with this story. This hero dad didn’t want his name to go on record because obviously he did it for his little girl and not for the fame. “I could tell he was pretty humbled hearing that what he did caused such a positive reaction” Stephanie added.
If he’ll go to these lengths for Halloween we can only imagine what he might do to make his daughter smile on her birthday or Christmas! What a heartwarming tale!
